After Care
Everyday wear
925 silver and 14kt gold are both durable, but neither is indestructible. Remove your ring before activities that put it at risk of impact, pressure, or scratching, such as heavy lifting, sports, or manual work.
Water and chemicals
Remove your ring before swimming, showering, or bathing. Chlorine and saltwater can affect the surface of silver and gold over time, and prolonged exposure to soap and shampoo residue can dull the finish.
Avoid contact with perfume, lotion, and cleaning products where possible. Apply these before putting your ring on, not after.
Storage
Store your ring away from direct sunlight and other jewellery, ideally somewhere it won't be scratched by harder materials. A soft pouch or the box it arrived in works well.
Cleaning
Clean your ring with a soft, dry cloth after wearing. For a deeper clean, use lukewarm water with a small amount of mild soap, then dry thoroughly with a soft cloth. Avoid ultrasonic cleaners and household chemical cleaners. Some stones are not suitable for ultrasonic cleaning and may be damaged by it.
Tarnishing
Silver naturally tarnishes over time, especially with exposure to air, moisture, and skin oils. This is normal and can be gently polished away with a silver polishing cloth. The textured, organic surface of Palla rings means tarnish may sit differently across the piece. This is part of the material, not a defect.
Stones
Each stone has its own level of hardness and sensitivity. Avoid knocking stones against hard surfaces, and remove your ring before activities where it could be exposed to sudden impact. If a stone comes loose or feels unstable, stop wearing the ring and contact us at info@pallastudio.eu.
